Stephen Gifford www.gridz.net

"My name is Stephen, and I started Gridz in July 2006 as a way for me to display my own photographs. Once I got the basic idea, I tried many combinations of mountings, adhesives, protectants, etc. and came up with one that was just so fantastic that I knew others would want them as well. I'm not a professional photographer, I simply have a good eye for balance, composition, flow, and color. I attended art school for graphic design in 2001 and have a creative background that leans heavily on digital art among other mediums. My goal with Gridz is simply to give you an incredibly unique art piece for your home. Not being a professional, I don't charge several hundred dollars for a set; art should not be exclusive, and I want Gridz to be affordible and accessible to anyone who wants them. I am dedicated to Gridz and will constantly be adding to the available sets with more high quality, interesting photography for your enjoyment."
Tara McDermott www.taramcdermott.com

Tara McDermott spent her formative years in Long Island, NY. Thirteen years after failing her initial quest to become a ceramic engineer, and following a short jaunt to Maryland, she landed in Seattle. After 5 years working for corporate America (at an esoteric job which defies easy catagorization), she decided to try her luck at school for the second time. Overseas travel to remote and exotic Asian locales gave her the desire to explore a more formal photographic education which resulted in a BFA in Photography from the University of Washington.
She is particularly fond of her Hasselblad camera, and favors a wide-angle lens (60mm for those that care). She also adores road trips, as they provide endless opportunities for the serendipitous photo op. Recently she has rediscovered a secret love for pinhole photography, and is spending a lot of time fiddling with cardboard boxes and other "cameras" that provide endless compositional challenges and surprises.
When not doing photography, Tara can be found strolling with her dog, with whom she enjoys long, one-sided conversations; playing the viola; studying the finer points of french grammar; or curled up with the latest s/f book, of which there are just not enough!
